Do I need a specific version of Windows Media Player?
Yes. Windows Media Player is the only player option available to view WUSA9.com Video. The WUSA9.com video player is optimized for Windows Media Player version 9 and above.

Windows users may watch video using versions 7 or 8, but may be prompted to install Microsoft Windows Media 9 codec. The overall user experience might be less satisfactory.

Mac users may watch video using version 9 for Mac OS X.

For optimal performance we recommend that you download the latest player. The latest Windows Media Player can be obtained from the Microsoft Download Center.

Why does the video window not show up, or nothing ever plays?
Javascript must be enabled for the WUSA9.com video player to work. We recommend you disable any ad or pop up blocking software tools that you may have installed and try again. When pop-up window blocking is enabled, the ad blocking feature automatically blocks the programming code web sites use to open secondary windows, which include the video player.

What about firewalls?
Some corporate networks and Internet Service Providers block video transmissions. If you cannot see video clips (even though your system meets the system requirements noted above), you may want to contact your Internet Service Provider or Network Administrator to see whether a security firewall is blocking video transmission.

Norton Internet Security Users
Norton Internet Security (NIS), by default, disallows external programs, like Windows Media Player, from running. You must scan for Internet-enabled programs in NIS's Personal Firewall section. Once you have done so, NIS will allow those programs access media on the Internet and therefore, those programs will work normally again. For help running a program scan see How to run the Program Scan in Norton Internet Security and Norton Personal Firewall.

If you meet the system requirements but still have difficulty accessing WUSA9.com video, we recommend you disable any ad or pop up blocking software tools that you may have installed and try again.
